At the annual Lighthouse Fan Awards, Shellem Cline was named songwriter of the year, for the second year in a row, and Dinner With Jesus took home song of the year. "I am blessed beyond measure, and im so excited about what God is doing. 2015 was big for my ministry and I feel that 2016 will be even bigger. I cannot wait to see what God is going to do," Cline stated.
New Single Climbs The Chart
After a stunning year for Shellem in the world of radio singles, his newest tune "Halfway Down The Aisle" continues the tradition. Only the second month promoting, the song has soared from debuting at 64 to a stunning #20 on the national chart. The song, which was written by Dianne Wilkinson, is paving the way for even more powerful songs fans can expect to hear from Shellem in the future.
Shellem's Brother Daniel Claimed Hero in Roof Collapse
Daniel Cline, the younger brother of national recording artist Shellem Cline, was a victim of a roof collapse on Saturday October 3, in his hometown of Statesville, NC. Cline, 15, is a member of the South Iredell High School Band and was at a regional band competition at North Iredell High School when the roof collapsed. The band members were outside under the concrete awning, when the truck carrying their equipment struck the awning, sending it falling to the ground. Over 20 students were taken to the area hospitals and injuries ranged from minor to life threatening. One student underwent surgery, as medical personnel was forced to amputate the leg. Daniel, had minor injuries to the back, arms and legs, but was seen as a hero as he helped fellow classmates by pulling them out of the Rubbage. "I am so proud of Daniel. He was a true hero on Saturday and I thank God for keeping him safe during this tragedy. I ask that you keep him in your prayers as he is very sore and is still shaken up from the event," Cline stated.
Ella Brooke Cline Has Arrived
The newest member of the Cline family has finally arrived. Shellem and Lacy welcomed Ella Brooke Cline to the world on Tuesday September 15 at 6:21pm. Ella was 19 1/2 inches long and weighed 6 pounds and 7 ounces. Baby and Mama are doing well and Shellem is having a blast with this new little bundle of joy! Cline will resume his singing schedule this week.
Baby Cline's Name Announced
With only 9 weeks until the due date, award winning singer and songwriter, Shellem Cline, along with his wife Lacy have announced the name of the new addition to the Cline family. While surrounded by family at a 3D ultrasound, the happy parents-to-be, announced that the new bundle of joy would be called Ella Brooke Cline. Cline stated "Lacy and I are so excited to have this little one come into our life and I'm real excited she has my nose." Ella Brooke is expected to arrive on October 5, but both parents say that they cannot wait to see her. Cline also stated that her arrival is expected just 2 weeks after the release of his new album "Blue Jeans and Biscuits," which has a tune called "You Mean The World To Me" that was written by Shellem for Ella. Shellem Cline Makes Appearance at Comedy Barn
While in Pigeon Forge for concerts, Shellem and his wife Lacy took a night to visit the Comedy Barn. Cline was invited on stage to be part of the "Hero and the Villian" Story in which Cline would save dear little "Cindy Lou." Once he was up on stage and explained that he was a gospel artist, Cline was asked to showcase his musical abilities as well. Cline, along with the house band performed "How Great Thou Art" to the packed out crowd and received a very warm applause.
